About Rick Hill

When I was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1983, I came back home to Texas and looked for a university to attend.  I was attracted to the conservative nature and military traditions of Texas A&M University and enrolled in 1984.  I have loved Bryan/College Station since the day I stepped foot on campus as a 26 year old freshman that year.  I became the first Texas Aggie in my family.  Commitment and support of Texas A&M and this community have become an integral part of our family.  My wife, Donna, and I raised two daughters here.  Both of our daughters graduated from A&M Consolidated High School and Texas A&M University.  Our daughter, Misti, went on to attend the University of Texas Law School and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities of the Texas A&M Health Science Center’s College of Medicine.  She is also pursuing a PhD in Communications from Texas A&M.  Our daughter, Lexi, attended Medical School at Texas A&M and is an OB/GYN at UTMB-Galveston pursuing a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine.  She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology of the Texas A&M Health Science Center’s College of Medicine.  Our son-in-law, Eric, is also an Aggie and a graduate of SMU Law School.  He is currently CFO & General Counsel for Kent Moore Cabinets.  I have two degrees from A&M and Donna has a Master’s from A&M.  Donna and I spent many years together at A&M Consolidated (She was a Counselor and later Director of Guidance there) working with the high school kids of College Station.  We both delved into our jobs with a dedication to the students of A&M Consolidated that was immensely rewarding.  We enjoyed our involvement in a variety of organizations and charities.  Since our retirement, we have stayed active and love staying involved.  Some of the best times for me lately have been coaching my grandson, Jack, and his Little League team.  Many of the coaches  of the other teams are former students of mine from A&M Consolidated and many of the players are sons and daughters of former students as well.  Donna and I have established deep roots in this community and I look forward to serving the citizens of Brazos County as Justice of the Peace Precinct 3.
